Calls for Proposals

INSPIRED contains SME Competitiveness Grant Scheme. This section explains how to apply for a Grant. It is a restricted Call for Proposals. 

Applications are requested from Business Intermediary Organisations (BIOs) like Chambers of Commerce and Industry, trade associations and cluster organisations. They can be in partnership with other organisations including European ones, who may or may not lead bids.

Applications should only relate to the following sectors: agro-processing, natural fibres, leather, plastics, light engineering, electronics, furniture and textiles/crafts.

The ultimate beneficiaries should be the BIOs and SMEs. Applications that benefit large companies will be rejected.

Initially, only Concept Notes must be submitted for evaluation. Thereafter, applicants whose Concept Notes have been pre-selected will be invited to submit a Full Application Form. An eligibility check will be performed for on Full Applications which are provisionally selected using supporting documents requested by the Contracting Authority and the signed “Declaration by the Applicant” sent together with the application.

Concept Note Applications must be submitted in accordance with the instructions on the Concept Note in the Grant Application Form annexed to the Guidelines (Annex A).

Applicants must apply in English and be in print.

Where to send Concept Notes

The Concept note together with the Checklist for the Concept Note (Part A section 2 of the grant application form) and the Declaration by the applicant for the Concept Note (Part A section 3 of the grant application form) must be submitted in one original and two copies in A4 size, each bound and also in electronic format (CD-Rom) to the Ministry for Industries. The outer envelope must bear the reference number and the title of the call for proposals, together with the lot number and title, the full name and address of the applicant, and the words “Not to be opened before the opening session” and Bangla language equivalent. Concept notes must be received by the 31 January 2013 before 1600 hours.
