Bangladesh Specialised Textile Mills & Powerloom Industries Association (BSTMPIA), organised a “Buyer-Seller Meetingand Exhibition of BSTMPIA Members’ manufactured Products” at the Board Room of BSTMPIA on 21st August 2016.
This event was held with the purpose of encouraging the Bangladesh based buying houses and RMG sector representatives to use more of the locally produced fabric as raw material and thus reduce the import bill for cloth and fabric from foreign countries such as Indonesia, Vietnam, China, and Korea.
The participants of this exhibition were the members of BSTMPIA who came from Narayangonj, Shirajgong, Comilla and Norshingdi with their product displays and sample products. A large number of fabric products were displayed at the event including: Saree,Lungi, bed covers and sheets, different types of towels, shirts, pants, and women’s wear were displayed by the different textile mills.
Mr. Azizul Haque, President of BSTMPIA inaugurated the event. Members of BSTMPIA, Mr. Ali Sabet, Team Leader, Bangladesh INSPIRED & Ms. Anne Raine, Senior Expert, Bangladesh INSPIRED Project, representatives of buying houses, and BGMEA visited the exhibition.
